The Homerton College Essay Programme is an annual competition which intends to equip participants with key skills that are considered highly desirable by university admissions tutors such as critical reading, research design and essay writing. The programme is designed to be cross-curricular and multidisciplinary so we welcome applications from interested students studying any combination of subjects who are keen to engage with the annual theme. Although the theme of each year changes slightly, the programme is always linked to sustainability in some way. Previous essay titles have included 'Is sustainable development an oxymoron?' and 'All we need is a carbon tax to slow down global warming- is this claim true? Discuss'.
