Homerton Life

As one of the newest colleges in Cambridge, Homerton has a modern and innovative atmosphere that values and prioritises its members, meaning that it truly feels like home to the diverse population of students who live and study here.

A home away from home

Homerton is a large college, both in student numbers and physical space. Being outside of the town centre means Homerton has the benefit of large grounds, giving a peaceful and homely atmosphere. With over 1,400 students in total and extensive on-site facilities including an apple orchard, football pitches, drama theatre, fitness studio, gym and 24-hour library – there is always someone to meet and something to do right on your doorstep. Less than 1 mile away we have flood-lit artificial pitches for football, rugby, tennis, netball, hockey and cricket nets.

The Homerton Union of Students (HUS) is incredibly active and is there primarily to help students settle in and enjoy college life. They host events, set up student societies and provide a crucial link between the College staff and students.

Homerton’s size means you are bound to find people who share your hobbies and interests – from sports to politics to drama or simply socialising in the College bar. Take a look through the pages in this section to find out more about what living and studying at Homerton College is like.
