Dr Catherine Hasted

Dr Catherine Hasted is Head of Business Partnerships at the University of Cambridge, working with global strategic partners and colleagues from across the University to translate fundamental research into life-changing impact. In parallel, Catherine is the Director of the University of Cambridge ThinkLab. Developed from her research on inter-organisational collaboration, ThinkLab enables students and researchers to deliver societal impact at scale, working with organisations including Aviva, BBC, Google and the NHS. Before joining Cambridge University in 2014, Catherine worked in senior leadership roles in commercial and not for-profit organisations and has founded two successful companies.

Having completed her studies at Lancaster, Oxford and Cambridge universities, Catherine champions new approaches to knowledge exchange and enterprise between university, business, charity and public organisations. Her work has two aims: to catalyse interactions for societal benefit, and to support the next generation of researchers to mobilise their expertise. Impact from her research has featured in the BBC, The Guardian and The Times.
