How are the multilateral development banks funded (i.e. where does their capital come from)? How is that capital managed and invested? Who decides which projects are funded? What is the “project cycle”? How are projects evaluated? What steps are in place to maximise transparency and accountability?
Consider their work of any one or more of the multilateral development banks on, for example, green energy, infrastructure, water security, food security, financing the sustainable development goals, clean oceans, biodiversity conservation. How would you evaluate the effectiveness of that work?
