Poet Daljit Nagra sworn in as Honorary Fellow

We are delighted to announce that Daljit Nagra was sworn in last night as an Honorary Fellow at Homerton. The author of four collections of poetry, Daljit has won the Forward Prize for Best Individual Poem and Best First Book, the South Bank Show Decibel Award and the Cholmondeley Award. He has also been shortlisted for the Costa Prize and twice for the TS Eliot Prize.

Daljit is currently Professor of Creative Writing at Brunel University, Chair of the Royal Society of Literature and became the inaugural Poet-in-Residence at Radio 4 and 4 Extra in 2015. 

This month Daljit was appointed an MBE for Services to Literature in the Queen's Birthday Honours.
