Future Ready! is a virtual study skills and university preparation programme delivered by Homerton College aimed at students in Year 10–11/S3–S4, who are eager looking to push their study-skills and explore what it's like to think and learn like a university student.
The course consists of weekly virtual workshops across April, with post-16 and university guidance sessions, in-depth study-skills workshops, finishing up with interactive taster university discussion seminars.
Workshops include:
- Post-16 options – advice and guidance
- Could university be for me?
- Study skills workshops including:
- Revision tips
- Metacognitive learning
- How to read?! Reflective reading tips - Taster university seminar series
Have a go at thinking like a university student using your new study skills! Students will be introduced to a text, given guidance on how to explore it, before unpacking and debating it in an interactive discussion seminar
We will also end the programme with an in-person celebration event at Homerton College in April!
