Founders' Hour

27 April, 25 May and 29 June

17:00, 25 May 2023 - 18:00, 29 June 2023
Macaulay Room/Online

One of the only certain things when you’re starting an enterprise is that there will be uncertainty: about what to do, how to deal with challenges you couldn’t have predicted, and about what’s required of you as you lead.

Founders’ Hour offers an informal discussion space on the challenges founders (or about-to-be founders) face: setting up a team, business & sustainable growth, branding, marketing, advisory board recruitment, governance, technology USP, customer profile, ethics, or whatever other issues emerge.

This event is facilitated by Dr Soraya Jones, Changemakers’ Director of Engagement and Operations, and Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence (hosted by UEA) on the last Thursday of the month.

  • 27 April, Macaulay Room (and online)
  • 25 May, Macaulay room ( and online)
  • 29th June (online only)

The format will be an open discussion where anyone can ask a question and the group can help brainstorm and discuss  possible answers. All Homerton students are welcome, even if you are at a very early stage of entrepreneurship. We can always learn from the experience of others….

Please email changemakers@homerton.cam.ac.uk if you would like the Zoom link. Or drop by the Macaulay room on the day.
